Land Class 'A' :
May & Scofield have extensive experience in meeting the challenging DEF STAN 59-41.1 Land Class 'A' EMC suppression requirements.
Our engineering team have worked on a number of projects which required both the development of new equipment and the modification of existing COTS equipment to meet this requirement.
New equipment, designed to meet Land Class 'A' include :
- Vehicle Blackout Mode system including main ECU and dash mounted, Night Vision compatible, warning module.
- NATO Trailer Interface Module designed to allow a 24v NATO standard trailer to be towed by a 12v vehicle and fitted as original equipment.
- CAN based, sealed for life and LED back-lit, Instrument Cluster incorporating a multi-layer/multi-functional, display developed to meet the customer's requirements.
Projects to modify existing COTS equipment to meet Land Class 'A' resulted in the following :
- Family of Instrument clusters (RHD and LHD in KPH and MPH)
- Vehicle Immobiliser Unit
- Powertrain Control Unit
- ABS Control Unit
May & Scofield have developed and supply electronic systems and modules which meet Land Class 'A' requirements to Jaguar Land Rover and General Dynamics Force Protection.
