May & Scofield can provide a Contract Manufacturing service to customers who have developed their own products and require a trusted manufacturing partner with a high level of technical capability and quality assurance

By having all of the necessary skills, experience and tools to design electronic control products and systems, our engineering team can also provide support on our contract manufacturing projects. Hence in addition to fulfilling the final product build we can;

• Work with our customers to develop their designs to be suitable for volume manufacture
• Recommend and implement any changes required to improve manufacture, test and inspection techniques
• Assist in the design and manufacture of new test equipment or the automation of existing equipment
• Carry out pre-production activities with small runs from volume processes
• Produce PFMEAs and carry out PPAPs to our customer’s requirements

Whether we are manufacturing our own custom designs or providing a build to print service, we maintain the highest level of product quality through;

• Working to the high standards defined as part of our Quality Assurance accreditations
• Use of our MRP system for sourcing, purchasing and tracking of materials
• Temperature and humidity controlled storage of components
• Error proof electronic tracking of all individual units to ensure total traceability
• Bar code based ‘Gatekeeper’ asset tracking system which ensures all products have full traceability throughout all build processes from 1^st stage PCB population to final packing and despatch
• 100% inspection of every product via our in-process, Automatic Optical Inspection and End of Line testing
• Conventional assembly carried out by our IPC certified operators
