Our Approach

Defining the customers needs

In order to manufacture high quality electronic control products and systems which meet or exceed our customers' requirements and ultimately those of the end user, it is vital that we have a clear understanding of what the project entails before beginning the design phase

The typical approach we would take on a new development is as follows;

  • Engage collaboratively with our customer to identify the overall project requirements and program timing
  • Ideally, a Functional or Product Specification will already have been written, but if not we can help to define these
  • Have a clear understanding of all the project phases. From specification sign-off to series production and through-life support, with design and pre-production reviews clearly identified in the project plan
  • Carry out all prototype and production engineering
  • Produce all necessary tooling and test equipment
  • Carry out series production, test and shipping
  • Provide full product test and validation certification
  • Continue to engage with our customer and plan any through-life upgrades or revisions

Our design and development programs are subject to rigorous control via our Business Management Systems which include;

  • Initial development feasibility review
  • Creation of product specification and program gateways
  • APQP based program management, either in-house or customer specific

We have developed a Web based management system controlling key elements of the design process such as;

    • Concern Management (NCM / Warranty)
    • Engineering Change Notes
    • Hardware and software version release control
    • On-line document control system

All of which help to ensure that our electronic control products and systems are delivered on time, in budget and meet or exceed our customers’ expectations in terms of quality, performance, functionality, reliability and longevity of service.
